JUP Airdrop Mechanics and Allocation
Everything That You Need to Know
There will be four rounds of airdrop.
10% of the total supply will be allocated in the first round.
There’s no hard volume threshold cut-off.
There’s a 2023 volume multiplier for older active users in 2021-2022.
Arbitrage volume (e.g. stable or xSOL-SOL swap) won’t be counted.
Jupiter’s founder, Meow (@weremeow) announced the JUP community airdrop mechanism on Thursday and an update on Tuesday, November 21, after a community consultation period.
Here are some of the primers of the JUP community airdrop:
JUP’s max supply is 10B and 40% will be allocated to the community over 4 rounds of airdrops. 10% will be allocated in this round, which will be 1B tokens.
The first round of the airdrop is intended for users who have been consistently part of Jupiter.
There will be future rounds of airdrops for new users.
955K wallets who interacted with Jupiter directly before November 2nd are eligible for the airdrop.
Users who interacted with Jupiter through integrations like Sol-Incinerator and Solend are eligible for the airdrop.
The community discussions and proposals on the mechanism of the airdrop resulted in 2 major directions, even distribution and volume-based distribution.
Jupiter team is keeping their word and the first round of JUP community airdrop allocation is reflecting the discussions and proposals of its community.
2% (200M) of the total airdrop for the first round will be distributed evenly to all eligible wallets.
1% (100M) will be distributed to community members on Discord, Twitter, and developers.
There will be multiple tiers in this category, the preliminary list will be available next week and Jupiter will allow additional requests submission.
7% (700M) will be distributed based on the tiered score on adjusted volume.
The vast majority of tokens in this drop will be allocated towards a tier-based scoring system, with adjusted volume as the main reference point.
Based on the “non-adjusted” volume, the tiered score distribution will approximately look like this:
The adjustment on the volume will be based on:
Multipliers for the 2023 volume (likely counted 2X or 3X) only apply to older users who stayed on.
Consistency Multiplier to reward long-term activity.
Zeroing of arb volume (defined as samemint - samemint tx)
Removing of known accounts (for example wormhole exploiter)
The official airdrop allocation site will be up next week for everyone to check their allocation, volume, adjusted score, and community rank.
Good luck!
