We’re taking a break from the usual programming as I have some personal news to share: I have joined Primitive Ventures as an Investor!

It's been a pleasure getting to know Dovey and the team in the past month -- I can't wait to support incredible founders and operators building in the space.

Primitive is a household name. I remember seeing Dovey's work as early as late 2018 in my first crypto job. Over the past decade, Dovey and Primitive have backed numerous unicorns and decentralized economy leaders.

When the opportunity came, it was an easy choice to make.

Crypto is the only truly global industry. capital coordination works together across jurisdictions.

Primitive is a global firm. One that bridges the gap between the Eastern and Western crypto markets; something that's near and dear to me.

As a third-culture kid who has lived in three regions from midwest America to Southeast Asia, trust me when I say I know crypto's value proposition. Getting rugged by Chase for international wire was an experience too close to home.

Any crypto company is competing globally from day 1. You need to know how to navigate it. Funding dynamics, super apps, lower $ val/user in EMs, talent arbitrage, etc. -- these are cross-jurisdictions business acumen that need to be considered. These are in our DNA.

With that said, I'm excited to be back in Asia.

Even more specifically, Southeast Asia. Singapore is already a global home for top crypto projects, and I believe the region will only increase in importance as crypto onboard the next billion users.

I'll also be facilitating Primitive's portfolio companies in their Asia GTM strategy, think:

• SG for partnership

• HK for capital markets

• ID/TH for mass adoption

• and many more

My focus area -> making sense of infrastructure.

Basically, how do we make sense of it all in a world where multiple chains are being launched daily?
